The Africa Quality Academy is set to host Africa Quality Week 2023 at the Muson Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, from November 27th to 30th. With the theme “Quality: Realising Your Competitive Potential,” the event aims to serve as a crucial professional catalyst for advancing quality management as a recognised profession across the African continent.
The Africa Quality Academy, established to foster the development of quality management in Africa, provides a dynamic platform for the exchange of knowledge and information in the areas of quality, environmental health, and safety management.
In a recent press statement released in Lagos, the organisers revealed that in celebration of Africa Quality Week 2023, a series of activities designed to raise awareness about the pivotal role of quality management in the success of organisations, nations, and individuals will be carried out.
The week’s agenda includes a conference, a walk for quality road show, the conferment of honorary fellowships, an Africa Quality Week exhibition, and the prestigious Africa Quality Excellence Awards.
Distinguished guests expected to grace the event include the DG of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Mallam Farouk A. Salim; MD of the South African Quality Institute, Jaques Snyders; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Nigeria, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite; Minister of Trade and Investment, Gambia, Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof; CEO of the Bureau of Standards, South Africa, Dr. Boni Mehlomakulu; Minister of Trade and Investment, Zambia, Chipoka Mulenga; Minister of Trade and Investment, Egypt, Ahmed Samir; DG of Agence Ivorienne de Presse Côte D’Ivoire, Koné Siaka; Murenzi Raymond, DG of the Rwanda Standards Board, Murenzi Raymond; and DG of the Tanzania Bureau of Standards, Dr. Athman Y.
