The centrepiece of Air Peace’s announcement is a fare reduction that will see round-trip tickets between Nigeria and London available for as low as one million naira beginning in August.

Air Peace spokesperson Mr. Efe Osifo-Whiskey revealed that the airline has achieved a historic first by becoming the only Nigerian carrier capable of offering direct services from Abuja to both of London’s premier international airports – Heathrow and Gatwick. The dual-airport strategy, set to commence on October 26, 2025, provides Air Peace with a unique competitive advantage in the market.

“This provides a distinct competitive advantage, enabling passengers to travel between Nigeria and the United Kingdom with greater ease, efficiency, and value,” Osifo-Whiskey explained during the announcement. “Passengers can now choose from multiple Nigerian cities for their entry and exit points.”

The airline’s operational model introduces a seamless connectivity system that eliminates traditional travel complications. Passengers departing from any of Air Peace’s domestic destinations can now book single-ticket journeys to London via Abuja, removing the hassle of multiple bookings and baggage re-checks that have long frustrated Nigerian travellers.

This integrated approach extends to return journeys, with London-based passengers able to connect seamlessly to an extensive network of Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin, Warri, Owerri, Kano, Yola, Gombe, and Asaba. The airline has indicated that additional domestic destinations will be incorporated into the network as operations expand.

Air Peace officially launched its Heathrow operations on Sunday, marking the culmination of months of preparation and regulatory approvals. The service expansion includes enhanced baggage allowances designed to accommodate the needs of travellers moving between the two countries, particularly those carrying goods for family or business purposes.

Osifo-Whiskey positioned the development within Air Peace’s broader mission to challenge established aviation norms across Africa. He described the new Abuja-London service as representing a major milestone in the airline’s evolution and part of its commitment to pioneering transformative routes across the continent.

“Air Peace has consistently challenged the status quo in African aviation and remains committed to pioneering transformative routes,” he stated. “This latest offer—round-trip fares starting from just ₦1 million, along with unmatched domestic connectivity—is yet another bold step in democratising international air travel for Nigerians.”
