Expressing gratitude for divine guidance and the support of the Akweya community, the district head highlighted the challenges faced upon assuming office and emphasised the positive changes achieved within the kingdom.
He outlined key achievements, which included the enactment of a law to curb the destruction of economic trees; fostering peace through the establishment of the Akweya Traditional Council; and legislation to protect the kingdom’s land from illegal transactions. Progress in security matters, both internal and external, was also detailed, showcasing a commitment to safety and order.

“To address the wanton destruction of economic trees in Akweya Kingdom, a law prohibiting indiscriminate cutting was enacted. Violators face a fine of ₦50,000 and two goats, coupled with chastisement. This has effectively halted the incessant destruction,” the district head explained.

The report concludes with the district head expressing gratitude to the Akweya community for their unwavering support. He called for love, cooperation, and assistance among residents, emphasising that the kingdom’s success depends on collective effort.
