A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an order prohibiting parties involved in a lawsuit filed by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and three others from giving press interviews related to the case.

Justice Binta Fatima Nyako issued the order on Friday following a complaint from Akpabio’s lawyer, Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), who alleged that the plaintiff was making appearances at various television stations to discuss matters about the ongoing case.

The battle continues

In her brief ruling, Justice Nyako declared that “there shall be no press interviews by all parties and their lawyers regarding the subject matter of the case.”

The judge also prohibited the streaming of court proceedings on social media platforms by the involved parties and their legal representatives.

The case continues to be pending before the court, with details about the nature of the lawsuit not specified in the report.
