Former Senate President David Mark has extended his congratulations to Chief Comrade Abba Adaudu for being honoured with a prestigious chieftaincy title by the Och’Idoma, His Royal Majesty John Obagaji Odogbo, and the Idoma Area Traditional Council.
In a letter dated June 19, 2024, Mark praised Adaudu as a distinguished son of Idoma, highlighting his exemplary leadership qualities and active societal role.
“This honour recognising your exceptional accomplishments and remarkable contributions to the socio-economic and political development of the Idoma nation is indeed noble and noteworthy,” Mark stated.
The conferment ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Och’Idoma’s Palace in Otukpo.

Additionally, Benue State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. (Barr.) Omale Omale, congratulated Adaudu on his chieftaincy title. Omale described Adaudu as a brother, friend, and philanthropist whose impact extends far beyond his community in Akpa, Otukpo Local Government Area.
“Your influence and bridge-building extend across nations, earning you this prestigious recognition in our Idoma nation,” Omale stated in a letter dated June 20.
Director of Special Duties/State Operations, David Akoji, also congratulated Adaudu, describing him as a man with a large heart. Akoji commended Och’Idoma’s unbiased gesture in honouring both political and non-political figures, including Comrade Adaudu and the Benue State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Michael Oglegba.
The Oogwu 1 of Akweya, Chief Nicodemus Odeh, also conveyed congratulatory messages to Hon. Michael Oglegba and Comrade Abba Adaudu. In separate letters dated June 20, 2024, Chief Odeh praised Oglegba as an inspiration and role model.
He also described Adaudu as a promoter of unity and progress with a passion for his community’s development.
The Imala clan in Akpa District of Otukpo Local Government also sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to Hon. Michael Oglegba from the Palace of Oj’Ogamode. Chief Oliver Abbah bestowed blessings on Oglegba, declaring, “We release the blessing of our forefathers and ancestors upon you. May your life embody wisdom and positive impact.”
Also, Chief Godfrey Omaji Agada described Adaudu as an exemplary leader committed to the development of the Idoma nation. Anthony Agbenyi Ogor, an ICT expert, also praised Adaudu as an inspiration and a shining example of kindness, generosity, and leadership.
Other distinguished sons and daughters of Idoma, including Barrister Paul Ede, are also slated to receive chieftaincy titles from the Och’Idoma.
