Four talented writers from Togo and Nigeria have arrived in Iseyin for the March/April 2025 session of the prestigious Ebedi International Writers Residency programme.
The participants include Julius Bokoru and Daniel Yohana from Nigeria, Simone Kata from Togo, and Biyi Adefila from Nigeria. During their four-week stay, the writers will focus on completing their creative projects while also mentoring secondary school students in the Iseyin community.

The Ebedi International Writers Residency, a private initiative established in 2010, provides writers with a free, conducive environment to develop their ongoing works. Since its inception, the program has hosted 354 writers from 12 African countries, many of whom have gone on to receive international literary recognition and awards.
This residency continues Ebedi’s tradition of nurturing African literary talent while fostering educational engagement with local youth.
