The programme represents a novel approach to healthcare delivery, utilising local artistic resources and creative expressions as tools for social networking, personal development, psychological healing, and health advocacy. Organisers describe the initiative as designed to “foster youth engagement and facilitate exchanges that enhance their health and well-being through strategic collaborations.”
The recruitment call is open to professionals and practitioners worldwide, regardless of nationality.

The initiative builds on emerging research that demonstrates the therapeutic value of arts-based interventions in healthcare settings. By combining artistic expression with community engagement, the programme seeks to address mental health challenges while building supportive social networks among participants.
The Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship, known for its innovative approaches to integrating creative practices into healthcare, has partnered with the Commonwealth Leadership Institute to ensure the programme reaches diverse communities across multiple countries and cultural contexts.
Applications are being accepted through July 10, 2025, with the programme scheduled to launch in August.
Interested practitioners can access application materials and detailed programme information through the YLAH website. Additional enquiries can be directed to the organisation at info@ylah.org.
