“There were times I almost gave up,” she admits. “But every time I prayed, I felt God telling me to keep going. This music is not about style—it’s about souls.”

This edition of Xtravagant Worship stands out not only for its gospel reggae theme but also for the story behind it. For years, Kate Pee has been known in Abuja’s gospel circles for her soulful voice, consistent service in ministry, and her passion for creating worship atmospheres that touch lives deeply. She has hosted multiple editions of Xtravagant Worship, each one drawing larger audiences and deeper testimonies. Her sessions often blend prophetic ministration with music, making them more than just concerts—they are divine encounters.

However, bringing reggae into the gospel space has not been without its challenges. Kate Pee has long harboured a vision to produce a gospel reggae album, but the journey has been difficult. From battling creative block, limited funding, and skepticism from parts of the gospel community who view reggae as “unorthodox,” she has persevered with grace.

“There were times I almost gave up,” she admits. “But every time I prayed, I felt God telling me to keep going. This music is not about style—it’s about souls.”

Now, that vision is taking visible shape. Xtravagant Worship: Reggae Edition is more than an event—it is a testimony.

The event features a powerful lineup: the dynamic Mama Lucee and members of the Kristofarians, whose gospel reggae blend has been turning heads and lifting hearts; and the ever-energetic Minister BMI, whose onstage presence and vocal anointing continue to make impact across churches and gospel platforms in Nigeria. The Kristofarians, who recently released a 12-track album titled “The Christ in Reggae,” featuring 14 ministers, will be a special attraction for fans of the subgenre.
