The competition, organised by Hill-Top Creative Art Foundation, will feature 11 different categories, including poetry, short story, painting, non-fiction writing, spoken word, contemporary song in English, cultural dance, quiz, ICT and technology, innovation, and drama. The prize is set at ₦2,000,000 for the overall winner, ₦1,500,000 for the first runner-up, and ₦1,000,000 for the second runner-up.

The competition also features categories for Teen Authors, strictly for students of Nigerian secondary schools, and a category for The Nigeria Prize for Indigenous Languages in Creative Writing and Science.
