HIASFEST Ready for 2026 Creative Art Competition

The Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu Schools Festival (HIASFEST) is calling for entries into the 8th edition of its creative art competition, which will be held in January 2026 at the Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre in Minna, Niger State.

The competition, organised by Hill-Top Creative Art Foundation, will feature 11 different categories, including poetry, short story, painting, non-fiction writing, spoken word, contemporary song in English, cultural dance, quiz, ICT and technology, innovation, and drama. The prize is set at ₦2,000,000 for the overall winner, ₦1,500,000 for the first runner-up, and ₦1,000,000 for the second runner-up.

The competition also features categories for Teen Authors, strictly for students of Nigerian secondary schools, and a category for The Nigeria Prize for Indigenous Languages in Creative Writing and Science.

Interested individuals and schools can access the official modalities for participation via the HIASFEST website, www.hiasfest.com.ng. Registration closes on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
