JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin revealed that the delay follows recent directives from the Council for Legal Education regarding suspended law programmes at several universities. The Board also discovered multiple computer-based test centres that obtained approval through misrepresentation.

These measures are essential for maintaining the integrity of the examination process,” Benjamin stated, acknowledging potential inconvenience to candidates.

“The Board acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience,” he said.

“The additional time will be used to ensure that all necessary changes are made for a smooth registration process.”

The registration was originally scheduled to begin on January 31.
