Ahmed, of St Werburgh’s Road, Chorlton, was the director of Retro Menswear on Old Church Street in Newton Heath.

Manchester City Council‘s trading standards officers raided the premises in August 2023 following a tip-off, discovering 1,500 fake football shirts, clothes and accessories.
Before the raid, officers conducted an undercover operation during which they purchased a fake Chanel handbag and a fake pair of Nike leggings from the shop.
“We are entirely committed to rooting out these kinds of offenders and want to send a message that we will not tolerate the counterfeit trade in our city,” Councillor Lee-Ann Igbon said.
The Councillor went on to thank the officers for “their diligent work in bringing this case to a successful conclusion.”
