Las Vegas has been buzzing with rumours surrounding Grammy-winning artist Bruno Mars and his alleged massive gambling debt at MGM casinos. However, MGM Resorts International has stepped forward to refute these claims, asserting that Mars is not indebted to the company.

In a statement on Monday, Jenn Michaels, the senior vice president of public relations at MGM Resorts International, categorically denied the existence of any debt between Bruno Mars and the resort giant. Michaels emphasised that Mars’ relationship with MGM is built on mutual respect, dismissing the recent speculation as “completely false.”

“Bruno’s brand of entertainment attracts visitors from around the globe. MGM and Bruno’s partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect,” MGM’s statement read. “Any speculation otherwise is completely false. He has no debt with MGM. Together, we are excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.”

The controversy stems from a report by NewsNation, which circulated widely last week, suggesting that Mars owed MGM as much as $50 million in gambling debts. The report cited an anonymous source described as a “Vegas insider.” However, MGM firmly rejected these claims, asserting that Mars has no outstanding debt with the company.

Bruno Mars, known for his electrifying performances, has been a staple in Las Vegas entertainment since 2016, with lucrative residencies at MGM venues. Despite the uproar caused by the rumours, representatives for Mars have remained tight-lipped, redirecting inquiries to MGM’s statement.

The partnership between Bruno Mars and MGM Resorts International extends beyond performances, with Mars having his own cocktail lounge, the Pinky Ring, at the Bellagio hotel and casino. The lounge features live entertainment curated by Mars himself, further solidifying his ties with the renowned resort company.

As the speculation surrounding Bruno Mars’ alleged gambling debt dissipates, MGM Resorts International reaffirms its commitment to the enduring partnership with the acclaimed artist, promising to continue creating unforgettable experiences for guests in Las Vegas and beyond.
