The leadership of the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), on Wednesday, 21st of December 2022, honoured the CEO of Akweya TV Ltd, Mr Odoh Diego Okenyodo with the prestigious title of “Jarman Matasan Arewa.”
The Vice President of the group Honourable Haruna Kwanam said the Icon of Social Transformation award is in recognition of Mr Odoh Diego Okenyodo’s effort at uniting the youth of Nigeria in the same manner the Sarduana of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello envisioned.
Hon Kwanam in an exclusive interview with AkweyaTV described Odoh Okenyodo as a true leader who is out to groom the youth to become useful in society.
Honourable Haruna Kwanam who delivered the award at the AkweyaTV Headquarters office, Abuja was accompanied by other Executives of NYCN including the Director of Publicity Mohammed Abdulrazaq, the Legal Adviser Barrister Buhari Salisu, the North East Coordinator Danladi Iliya and other members of the organisation.
Mr Okenyodo in response to the award and the title conferred to him appreciated the youth organisation for the honour and the recognition.
He however charged the youths to make specific demands as they engage with the different Presidential candidates vying for the position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on how and what it would take them to salvage the deplorable state of the nation.
Okenyodo in an interview with AkweyaTV said he accepted the award because what the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria is doing seems to identify with what Akweyatv represents, that’s social impact by bringing people together.
