South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has died at her home, police confirmed Sunday. She was 24.

According to Yonhap News Agency, a friend discovered Kim after arriving for a planned meeting. She was found dead in her home in Seongsu-dong, a neighbourhood in eastern Seoul, South Korea, just before 5 p.m. local time.
Police had earlier said they had found no evidence of foul play and were investigating the cause of death.
Kim was considered one of South Korea’s most promising young talents before her career was impacted by a drunk driving incident in 2022. She began her career as a child actress and gained recognition for her performances in films like “The Man From Nowhere” (2010) and “A Brand New Life” (2009).
Her death has been ruled a suicide by police officials.
“We believe she made an extreme choice and plan to handle it as a suicide,” police told reporters, according to Yonhap.
