Le Mans FC highlighted the unique value that these sporting icons will bring to the newly promoted club. The team noted that Djokovic’s renowned mental strength, combined with the Formula 1 stars’ experience in high-pressure competitive environments, will provide considerable added value and establish a distinctive connection between football and motorsport.

The investment comes at a crucial time for Le Mans FC as they prepare to begin their Ligue 2 campaign on August 9, marking their return to France’s second tier after earning promotion. The club will be looking to establish itself in the competitive division with the support of its new high-profile ownership group.

Djokovic, who has won 24 Grand Slam singles titles and is widely regarded as one of tennis’s greatest players, adds his business acumen and competitive experience to the football venture. His involvement alongside former F1 drivers Massa, a former Ferrari driver and championship contender, and Magnussen, who has competed for teams including McLaren and Haas, creates an interesting ownership structure in French football.
