A University of Ilorin (Unilorin) student, Kazeem Sanusi, has made history by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest mathematics lesson ever conducted. Sanusi, a final-year mathematics student, delivered an extraordinary lecture lasting 31 hours, 42 minutes and 54 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 26 hours.
According to a statement released Tuesday by the Director of Corporate Affairs at the university, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the remarkable achievement was officially witnessed by Guinness World Records representatives.

The marathon mathematics lesson drew an impressive audience of university officials, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Wahab Egbewole (SAN), Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Management Services Prof. Adegboyega Fawole, and other key administrators. Among those present were the University Registrar, Mr. Mansur Alfanla, Dean of Physical Sciences, Prof. Abdullahi Baba, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Alex Akanmu, and Student Union President Victor Agezeh.
Sanusi is now awaiting official confirmation of his record-breaking feat from Guinness World Record authorities.
