Durumi 3, a semi-urban community tucked between Lokogoma and Gudu near Prince Ebeano Supermarket, experienced an unusual wave of activity on Saturday, June 14, 2025 — not from political campaigns or construction, but from compassion.

In a stirring act of grassroots service, The Transforming Church (TTC), Galadimawa, carried out a comprehensive medical outreach in the community, bringing essential healthcare and relief directly to the people’s doorstep.

Led by the Executive Pastor Seun Bolarinwa and powered by the dedication of the church’s men’s fellowship, the outreach featured a full-scale mobile clinic, manned by doctors, pharmacists, and even cardiologists. Vital signs were checked, medications dispensed, and those in need of advanced care were referred for further treatment — all at no cost to beneficiaries.

Assistant Executive Pastor Nelson Ogohi explained the heart behind the mission:

“We believe that wherever we find ourselves, we should be relevant. This is how we live out our vision to make a global impact — by starting locally.”

But this initiative was more than medicine.

Children received free haircuts, families were given food packs designed to last through the weekend, and love was on full display — a gesture made even more symbolic as it was timed to mark Father’s Day.

“Instead of just celebrating in church,” Pastor Ogohi added, “we brought the celebration here — to reflect fatherly love to the community.”

The outreach struck a deep chord with residents.

Mrs. Ruth Obadiah, a mother and resident of Durumi 3, expressed heartfelt thanks:

“We didn’t expect this kind of thing. It shows they really care. I will keep praying for them.”

Mr. Paul Audu Ubandoma, another beneficiary, praised the inclusion of barbers:

“Even the haircuts helped us. It may seem small, but it means a lot. No outreach has done this before.”

This is not the first time TTC has extended its arms to surrounding communities. The smiles from community members seem to plead that this shouldn’t be the last.
