The School of General and Administrative Studies at the Federal Polytechnic Idah has honored Rt. Hon. David Idris Zacharias, member representing Idah Federal Constituency, with an Award for Humanities and Community Development.

The award recognizes his commitment to humanity and significant contributions to community development across the Idah Federal Constituency.

The recognition was presented during a conference titled “Multi-Dimensional Approach to Leadership and National Development” held at the school auditorium.

Hon. Suleiman Bashiru, received the award on his behalf and expressed gratitude to the department for acknowledging the lawmaker’s impactful work.

As a federal lawmaker, Hon. Zacharias has made notable contributions to his constituency, including:

  • Health Sector where he Provided drugs worth millions of Naira to hospitals and clinic
  • Education where he funded WAEC and NECO exam fees for secondary school students and distributing JAMB forms.
  • Infrastructure by Installing 2,000 solar streetlights and extending electricity to various communities
  • Employment and Empowerment where he facilitated employment opportunities and providing financial support to women and youth

The award is a testament to Hon. Zacharias’ dedication to community development and his commitment to promoting the humanities.
