The Chairman of the Hajj Commission has resigned from his position, marking a significant leadership change within the body responsible for coordinating pilgrimage affairs.
In a letter addressed to the appropriate authorities, the chairman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and cited personal reasons for his decision to step aside. He noted that the move was in the best interest of the commission and the smooth management of its responsibilities, particularly as preparations for upcoming pilgrimages continue.
The resignation has been formally acknowledged by the relevant government agencies, who commended the outgoing chairman for his contributions to improving the administration of Hajj operations, enhancing pilgrims’ welfare, and strengthening collaboration with Saudi authorities.
An interim leadership arrangement is expected to be announced soon to ensure continuity in the commission’s activities. Stakeholders have assured intending pilgrims that the resignation will not disrupt ongoing preparations or affect the quality of services.
Further details regarding the appointment of a substantive chairman are anticipated in the coming days.
