A militia group suspected to be Fulani have attacked Otobi, in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State at 1 am on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Four persons have been confirmed killed by the attackers.

AkweyaTV learns the youths in the community put up a strong resistance before the militia fled. Community members are in fear even though there has been a prompt deployment of personnel of the Nigeria Police Force and Agro Rangers.
Otobi was attacked twice in April 2026 in quick succession, killing 13 in the process.
