Nasarawa Gov Sule Appoints Ex-Lawmaker Teachers Commission Secretary

A former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa, has been appointed as Secretary of the state Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC).

Shafa, who represented Gadabuke/Toto Constituency in the 6th Assembly, was appointed by Governor Abdullahi Sule to succeed Chief Benjamin Chindo Baka from Kokona Local Government Area of the State.

The Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu made this known in a statement issued on Monday, 3 July 2023, in Lafia.

Aliyu also announced the appointment of Alhaji Muhammed Abubakar Gada (Keffi LGA) as the substantive Chairman of the Commission.

Others include Ahmadu Saidu Salihu (Lafia) and Babasadas Wasa (Akwanga) as Members of the commission.

Similarly, Mr. Francis Bitrus K. (Kokona) and Alhaji Yusefu Adamu Idasho (Obi) were also appointed as “Part-Time” Members of the Commission.

“They will be inaugurated on a date to be announce soon,” the statement added.
