The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful completion of the electronic submission of its governorship and State House of Assembly candidates for the 2027 general elections.
The party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, made the announcement in a statement issued on Friday, saying the candidates’ details had been fully uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal.

56 Governorship, 1,015 Assembly Candidates Uploaded
According to Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the APC uploaded the details of all 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates, alongside 1,015 candidates contesting seats in various State Houses of Assembly across the country.
He described the completion of the exercise as a significant milestone for the ruling party and congratulated APC leaders, members and candidates for successfully completing the nomination process.
“I am pleased to announce that the All Progressives Congress has successfully achieved 100 per cent upload of all our 56 Governorship and Deputy Governorship, and 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal,” Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda said.
APC Begins Next Phase of 2027 Preparations
The APC chairman said the successful completion of the electronic nomination process reflected the party’s organisational preparedness ahead of the 2027 elections.
He said the party would now shift its attention to the next phase of its preparations, including engaging with Nigerians and highlighting what it described as the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Yilwatda added that completing the candidate-upload process had further demonstrated the APC’s readiness to participate fully in the forthcoming electoral process.
