The Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed the arrest of one of its serving personnel, Ifeanyi Onyewuenyi, following serious allegations involving the marriage to a minor and her alleged forceful conversion to Christianity.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Deputy Director of Public Relations, Favour Dozie, revealed that the matter is currently under investigation. The victim’s identity has been withheld due to her age and the sensitive nature of the case.

Dozie assured the public that the DSS is committed to upholding justice and professionalism, stressing that any personnel found culpable of misconduct would face appropriate disciplinary actions in line with the law.
