Rev. David Ugolor is the Executive Director of the Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), a Benin City based non-governmental organisation working to promote good governance, transparency and accountability in Nigeria.
With more than two decades of experience in anti-corruption advocacy, Rev. David Ugolor has contributed to national and international conversations on corruption, illicit financial flows and sustainable development.

Academic And Professional Background
Rev. David Ugolor holds master’s degrees in Agricultural Economics from the University of Benin and the Study of Corruption from the University of Sussex.
With more than two decades of experience in anti-corruption work, Rev. David Ugolor has contributed to national and international discussions on corruption, illicit financial flows and asset recovery. He has presented papers at various workshops and seminars and has served as a resource person at United Nations meetings.
He has also been involved in civil society engagement under the Open Government Partnership Nigeria, where he currently serves as Co-Chair of the Anti-Corruption Working Group.
His professional experience reflects a sustained commitment to using research, advocacy and policy engagement to promote transparency, accountability and good governance.
Engagement In Global Anti-Corruption Initiatives
Beyond his work with ANEEJ, Rev. David Ugolor has participated as a resource person at several United Nations meetings and has played a role in strengthening civil society participation in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Nigeria.
He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Anti-Corruption Working Group of OGP Nigeria, where he contributes to discussions around transparency, accountability and open governance.
Rev. David Ugolor also facilitated Nigeria’s Pre-Global Forum on Asset Recovery consultation and participated in the Global Forum on Asset Recovery panel debate held in Washington, DC, in December 2017.
Through his work with ANEEJ and other national and international platforms, Rev. David Ugolor has remained engaged in efforts to strengthen citizen participation, improve public accountability and address corruption and illicit financial flows.
His career reflects a sustained focus on using research, advocacy, policy dialogue and public engagement to advance good governance and economic justice in Nigeria.
