Festival Connection

The Ife Book and Arts Festival Trust congratulated Mrs. Ilusanmi, who serves as an ambassador for the annual festival held in Ile-Ife, on her selection. The festival, which celebrates literature and arts, regularly collaborates with ANA and other literary organisations to promote reading culture and artistic expression in Nigeria.

The conferment ceremony is scheduled to take place as part of ANA’s international conference, which commenced Friday. The conference brings together writers, scholars, publishers, and literary enthusiasts from across Nigeria and the diaspora to discuss developments in African literature and the publishing industry.

ANA, founded in 1981, is Nigeria’s premier organisation of creative writers, with chapters across the country’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The association promotes literary excellence, advocates for writers’ rights, and works to preserve and advance Nigerian literary traditions.

Nigeria’s literary community has continued to gain international recognition, with Nigerian authors increasingly prominent on global literary stages and prize lists.
