The Bauchi State Governor has approved the immediate removal of the Commissioner for Internal Security from office. The decision was announced on Monday through an official statement issued by the state government.

Although no detailed reasons were provided, the government said the action was taken in the interest of effective governance and improved security management across the state. The dismissal is part of a broader review of the state’s security architecture aimed at strengthening internal security operations.

The governor thanked the former commissioner for his services to the state and wished him well in his future endeavours. Meanwhile, a replacement is expected to be announced soon to ensure continuity in the administration of internal security matters.

Residents have been urged to remain calm and continue cooperating with security agencies as the government works to enhance peace and safety in Bauchi State.
