The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, is poised to make history as he administers the oath of office to a new cohort of Commissioners and Special Advisers on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. The announcement was conveyed through an official communiqué issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
The grand swearing-in ceremony is slated to unfold at the prestigious New Banquet Hall within the Government House in Makurdi, Benue State. The event is set to commence promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Recall that the Benue State House of Assembly meticulously reviewed the list of 17 commissioner nominees submitted by Governor Hyacinth Alia. The thorough screening process, which commenced on August 10, 2023, successfully granted clearance to all 17 nominees.
In a bid to bolster the efficiency of governance, Governor Hyacinth Alia also granted his approval for the designation of 17 special advisers and 24 special assistants.
