The Anambra State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the suspects responsible for the murder of the President-General of the Ogidi community.

In a statement on Sunday, the police said the incident occurred under circumstances that are currently under investigation, describing the killing as a grave and unfortunate development. Security operatives have since been deployed to strategic locations within and around Ogidi to track down the perpetrators.

The police assured residents that all necessary resources have been mobilised to ensure the swift arrest and prosecution of those involved. Members of the public were also urged to provide useful information that could aid the investigation.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State Government and community leaders have condemned the attack, calling for calm and cooperation with security agencies as efforts continue to bring the culprits to justice.
