The Felix Anthony Ojih Foundation (FAOF) has launched a three-week community enterprise and digital bootcamp aimed at equipping young people and women with practical skills to build businesses, secure livelihoods and become economically self-reliant.
The training programme officially commenced on Monday, August 10, at the LGEA Primary School, Nnyanya, Abuja, under the theme, “Build Skills, Start a Business, Transform Your Future.”
The initiative brings together ambitious youths and resilient women for intensive training in digital skills, entrepreneurship, confectionery and mentorship.
Foundation Targets Youth Empowerment
The bootcamp is designed to help participants acquire practical, marketable skills while providing them with the knowledge and confidence needed to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, the lead facilitator, Dr. Paullett Ugochi, stressed the importance of acquiring useful skills early in life, drawing from her personal experience.
She explained that the skills she acquired after completing the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have continued to provide a source of livelihood for her.
Dr. Paullett Ugochi urged participants to approach the three-week programme with discipline and commitment, noting that although the training is free, participants must comply with the rules of the bootcamp to maximise the opportunity.
“Over the next three weeks, participants will dive deep into high-demand digital skills, practical entrepreneurship strategies, confectionery, and mentorship designed to help them turn visionary ideas into thriving businesses and create lasting opportunities for themselves and others,” she said.
Free Business Registration, Certification for Top Performers
Beyond the training itself, participants are expected to benefit from professional certification and networking opportunities that could support their transition from training to entrepreneurship.
The foundation will also provide free business registration for top performing participants, giving selected beneficiaries an opportunity to formalize their businesses and strengthen their prospects for growth.
The organisers said the combination of technical skills, entrepreneurship knowledge and mentorship is intended to give participants practical tools they can apply beyond the classroom.

Founder Explains Vision Behind Initiative
In an exclusive interview with AkweyaTV, the founder of the Felix Anthony Ojih Foundation explained that the initiative was driven by a desire to help young people avoid idleness and equip them with practical skills that can give them a meaningful future.
He said the foundation believes that providing youths with opportunities for self-development and economic empowerment can contribute to reducing vulnerability and creating stronger communities.
“Our target for this bootcamp training is to empower 40 to 100 youths and women,” the founder, Felix Anthony Ojih, said.
He also appealed to government agencies, private organisations and other potential partners to support the foundation’s efforts to expand the programme and reach more beneficiaries.
Participants Look Ahead to Business Opportunities
