The Tournament of Birds is set to commence on December 2, 2023, at AiBen’s Court in Kubwa, Abuja. This is a knockout-style tournament that will bring together 32 elite teams from every corner of Nigeria.

The event’s convener, fondly known as “Angry Bird, Mr. Alexander, said that the primary objective of the tournament is to foster the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition within Nigeria’s volleyball community. He stated that the platform offers an opportunity for athletes to showcase their talents while providing spectators with a thrilling day of volleyball action.

But it’s more than just a tournament—it’s a call to action. Angry Bird expressed his hope to attract attention to volleyball’s surging popularity in Nigeria and encourage more youth involvement in this dynamic sport.

Amidst the volleyball fervour, sponsorship and support opportunities are up for grabs. For organisations considering involvement, the benefits are many: from amplified brand visibility across the venue to media coverage, acknowledgement, and networking prospects within the sports industry.

In exchange for sponsorship, companies stand to gain exclusive branding, verbal recognition during ceremonies, a prestigious trophy presentation opportunity, social media exposure, and potential collaborative ventures for future sports initiatives.

The Tournament of Birds is about nurturing a passion for sports and unity among Nigerian youth, making it an event poised to make a lasting impact beyond the court.
