Okenyodo pledges media and institutional support as Ejor Akpa Community Development Association prepares for October 3 national conference in Abuja

Akweya TV Limited has committed to supporting the forthcoming National Conference of the Ejor Akpa Community Development Association, scheduled to take place on October 3, 2026, in Abuja.

The Managing Director of Akweya TV Limited, Mr. Odoh Diego Okenyodo, made the commitment on Thursday, September 10, when the National President of the Ejor Akpa Community Development Association (EACDA), Mr. Emmanuel Odeh, led a delegation of the association on a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of AkweyaTV in Gwarinpa, Abuja.

The conference will be hosted by the Abuja Branch of the association at the Akweya Unity Hall.

Okenyodo reaffirmed AkweyaTV’s commitment to using its media platform to support development initiatives across Akweya land and to amplify issues that affect communities and their people.

Speaking during the visit, Odeh said the association considered AkweyaTV an important partner in the development of Ejor and other communities across Akweya land and Benue State.

He said the purpose of the visit was to formally intimate AkweyaTV with the association’s plans for the national conference and seek the media organisation’s continued partnership and support.

According to him, the conference will provide an opportunity for Ejor indigenes and other stakeholders to deliberate on critical development challenges confronting the community.

The National President disclosed that among the issues expected to receive attention are the state of schools, particularly the primary school, the community clinic and other essential development needs in Ejor.

The delegation also emphasised the strategic importance of Ejor to Akweya land, particularly its location along the boundary between Otukpo Local Government Area and Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.

They therefore called on Akweya people at home and in the diaspora to take an active interest in the conference and contribute to discussions and efforts aimed at advancing the development of Ejor.
Odeh was accompanied on the visit by the National Vice President, Mr. Cornelius Ogene; Acting Chairman of the Abuja Branch, Mr. Ebbu Okenyodo; and National Secretary, Mr. Christopher Ogaje.

The delegation expressed confidence that the conference would provide a platform for constructive dialogue, mobilisation and practical action on issues affecting the community.

The commitment by AkweyaTV further strengthens the media organisation’s growing role in promoting community development, cultural identity and public-interest conversations across Akweya land.
The Ejor Akpa Community Development Association National Conference is expected to bring together community leaders, professionals, young people, stakeholders and other members of the Akweya community for discussions on the future development of Ejor.
