Nigerian financial expert and tax consultant, Chief Abba Adaudu, has reaffirmed his commitment to mentoring young accountants and creating opportunities for the next generation of professionals.
Adaudu disclosed this during a personality segment interview, where he spoke about his career, community development and his vision for young professionals in the accounting sector.
According to him, one of his major aspirations is to see more accountants succeed and eventually take up leadership positions in the profession.
He said he currently has several young professionals working with him, while others remain connected to him through professional relationships and mentorship.
Adaudu also highlighted the importance of professional networks in helping young accountants connect with one another. He noted that an association of practising professional accountants from his community has been created to provide opportunities for professionals to make contacts and identify others who have qualified in the field.
The financial expert said his ultimate goal is to see those he mentors become successful enough to operate independently and, in some cases, surpass his own achievements.
“I hope that I’m going to have partners who associate me and do better than me,” he said.
Adaudu’s commitment to mentorship is also connected to his broader interest in developing his community. He explained that he wants to contribute to laying foundations that will benefit not only his generation but also future generations.

He said his motivation for pursuing accounting was partly driven by the desire to create something that would establish a strong professional presence for people from his community.
The consultant maintained that developing young professionals is important for ensuring continuity, adding that he hopes to see those he has mentored eventually take responsibility for running different organisations and professional ventures. His comments underscore the importance of mentorship in creating a pipeline of skilled professionals capable of contributing to both the accounting industry and the wider development of their communities.
