On September 21st 2026, Akweya TV held a send forth ceremony for three interns who completed a 12-week internship programme with the organization.
The ceremony, held on Monday, September 21, 2026, was organized in honor of Mr. Benedict Barnabas, Ms. Praise Otor Peters and Ms. Aishat Omowumi Yekeen, following the successful completion of their internship.
The event brought together members of the Akweya TV team, as well as the Managing Director, Odoh Diego Okenyodo.
During the ceremony, team members took turns to address the interns, commending them for their efforts and contributions throughout the 12-week programme.
The speakers also shared words of appreciation for the interns’ commitment while highlighting areas where they could improve. They encouraged the interns to remain hardworking, dedicated and open to learning as they advance in their careers and encounter new professional experiences.
The team members further offered advice on the importance of discipline, continuous learning and applying lessons from the internship to future opportunities.

In response, the interns expressed their appreciation to their supervisors and other members of Akweya TV team for the guidance, support and knowledge they received during their time with the organization.
They acknowledged the role of the team in helping them gain practical experience and better understand the demands of working in a professional media environment.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of certificates by Mr. Okenyodo to the three interns in recognition of their completion of the 12-week internship programme.
The event ended with photographs involving the interns, management and other team members, marking the conclusion of their internship experience and their transition to the next stage of their professional and academic journey.
