The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called for an amendment to the Electoral Act to make the electronic transmission of election results mandatory. The association said the move would strengthen transparency, reduce electoral malpractice, and boost public confidence in the democratic process. According to the NBA, full adoption of digital result transmission is essential for credible, free, and fair elections in Nigeria.
